Colin (real name Colin Palmer; his fursona is sometimes referred to as Colin Raccoon to distinguish it from his real-life self) is a raccoon fur who lives in Hamilton, New Zealand. In addition to his raccoon fursona, Colin also has a red panda character named Nicol, who Colin portrays with a fursuit.
Colin was interviewed by Bruce Holloway of the Waikato Times for the September 16th, 2006, article Fur fantasy fanatics only, which briefly describes furry fandom in Hamilton, and in New Zealand as a whole.
The same year, Colin appeared with and without his fursuit on Eating Media Lunch, a satirical news program that airs on New Zealand's TV 2. On the program, Colin talks about various aspects of furry fandom and fursuiting. After seeing artwork on furry.org.nz, the interviewer asks Colin for his opinions on furotica and bestiality.
Colin also appeared on television in Bringing Out the Animal in You, a three-and-a-half-minute segment that aired on November 6th, 2006. This segment was part of the Nightline program on New Zealand's TV3.
Between 2009 and 2011, Colin was on the staff of FurcoNZ, acting as website administrator and dealing with IT support. In 2010 he was also a sous-chef on the kitchen team.
