Babs Bunny
- For the Tiny Toons character, see Babs Bunny on Wikipedia.
Babs Bunny (real name Juliette Magera) is an artist and creator of Durabbit Durabbit, a furry send-up of the rock group Duran Duran.
Her fursona was formerly the pink rabbit from Tiny Toon Adventures. In May 2006, she adapted her fursona to a more original creation; a fuschia and pink rabbit with an early 80s punk look. The new fursona (still named Babs Bunny, but with a full name of "Babbette Lilias Jackrabbit") is a much closer resemblance to Babs' real life look. Babs is an artist who may be found at many conventions, drawing or taking on sketchbook commissions. Her relatively toony style is very distinct.
Babs is also a fursuiter and a puppeteer. She is the player of Bunny Bloom (a character from the mind of Eric Schwartz), Money Penny, Lili Fox, and Cheeto. She loves to perform in fursuit in parades as well as at furry conventions/fursuiting functions.
Her puppets have made appearances on the Funday Pawpet Show and on Rapid T. Rabbit and Friends. The most well known of these is Nick Rhabbit, built primarily by Babs herself. Nick is a grey rabbit parody of Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran. More recently however, she debuted a replica of Baby Rowlf of Muppet Babies fame at Midwest Furfest 2006.
In 2005, she was the Panelist of Honor at Rocket City FurMeet.
She has a slight obsession with the rock group Duran Duran, and the 80's television show Knight Rider.

[edit] Lili Fox
Lili Fox is a character created by Babs Bunny. She is an arctic fox, all white except for pale blue markings on her front paws, toes, tail tip, and eartips. She has a pink tuft of hair, adorned with a snow lily flower. In addition to the flower, Lili wears a purple tie with a yellow peace sign on it.
[edit] History
Lili was created in 2004, inspired by a plane trip home from Further Confusion, which took a route over Jackson Hole, WY. According to Babs, "My mother was an animal naturalist, and spent a lot of time filming animal documentaries in Jackson Hole. That area was her mecca, and she always wanted me to see it. However, she passed away before that could ever happen. Flying over Jackson Hole was the closest I had ever been, and I wanted to give a heads up to my mother in some form as a result." That 'heads up' came along in May 2004, when Babs doodled up an arctic fox. After working with the design a little, Babs fell in love with the design. She says, "I had always thought about creating a fox character. But at the time, everyone had a fox design. If I was going to create a fox, it had to have some purpose. When I first created Lili, she was something I wanted to work with and really bring to life. Flying over Jackson Hole was also still fresh in my mind...so I decided to make that her hometown."
In October 2004, Arend Studios created the Lili fursuit, where she debuted at Midwest Furfest that same year. A rarity in the furry fandom, Lili not only had a look, but also a distinctive voice, which would be a hit in upcoming skits for MFF and AC in the following years.
[edit] Personality
Lili is an ageless character, though she's not quite a toon. Innocent and affectionate, she's also very feminine, but still keeps to her vulpine roots by punctuating her speech with fox noises such as, "Aff!"
Lili lives in Wyoming, in a burrow situated in the prairies just outside Jackson Hole. She lives among a thriving population of coyotes, and though she is aware of her status of an arctic fox, she has also deemed herself to be an honourary coyote as well.
[edit] Culture
Lili has grown to iconic stature in the fandom, being a female character with no sex appeal. Her innocent playful personality has enamored many, and subsequently inspired other characters of a similar vein.
She has also risen in popularity the point where Babs Bunny has granted permission on a per request basis for other artists to render the fox for other furs' commissions, such as FoxLover, and Cigarskunk.
