Charles A. Brubaker (born November 15, 1989 in Isahaya, Japan)[1] is a Japanese-American cartoonist, writer and illustrator who lives in Tennessee, USA.[2] He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a BFA degree in graphic design.[2]

Art[edit]

He is the creator of the webcomics Ask a Cat (2014-2019), The Fuzzy Princess (2016-2021), and Lauren Ipsum (2022-present), along with the comics A Witch Named Koko and Smallbug Comics.[3] Brubaker also contributes to the SpongeBob SquarePants comic and MAD Magazine.[2][3][4]

Brubaker has also worked in animation, having been a storyboard artist for Pencilmation from 2016 to 2019. He has also created several animated shorts based on his comics, including Katrina the Fuzzy Princess, which was nominated for an Ursa Major Award in 2021.
