Category talk:Washington D.C

A question (mostly) for those living in the United States: Is this category name ("Washington D.C") correct? Or should there be another period after the C ("Washington D.C.")? Or maybe even a comma in there somewhere ("Washington, D.C.")? -- Higgs Raccoon 14:34, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- The category should be "Washington, DC" because it is the US postal designation for the area. Punctuation only comes into play when using the abbreviation in a sentence (much like one should use fullstops in-between the letters of R.A.D.A.R. and L.A.S.E.R.), but it is commonly overlooked. --Amras 15:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
