Adding Closed/Offline Location Section[edit]

I suggest adding a closed/offline sub cat, for historical reasons. Example: The Yiff Factory is no longer an active club in SL, but for historical reasons it should be in the template, and as valid, but the current section misleads others into thinking it is open/online --Lokiwuff 09:04, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Adding Club/Social Locations and Tourist/Home Locations[edit]

Currently all locations in second life kind of fall into one area in categories, I am suggesting separating them for simplicity, so people know what they are looking at --Lokiwuff 09:04, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure that these proposals require consensus. Certainly there are numerous categories that are created by editors without fanfare; IMHO this is well within the scope of the exhortation to be bold. Wikipedia:Categorization has an in-depth explanation of the process, as implemented on Wikipedia. The only caveat I'd throw out there, is that creating categories should be based on common sense. (For instance, we have too many categories with only one member, which is probably evidence that the category shouldn't have been created.) Since you've presented a logical argument for separating them, I think you've demonstrated that you've considered the rationale and ramifications. Can someone more experienced than me, or perhaps an admin, please comment on this? --CodyDenton 09:47, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
