Are crossbred and mutt really equivalent terms? That aside, I'm not sure why this category is more appropriate than Category:Dog characters. -- Sine 06:50, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, since a mutt isn't a purebred? I dunno, I'm a cat person. ;) Anyway, I agree - this should be merged into Dog characters. Spaz Kitty 15:04, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Could this fall under dog-hybrid characters?--Kendricks Redtail 00:00, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
No, because hybrid is two different species, not two different breeds. Spaz Kitty 00:03, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
I thought mutt was an unidentifiable sort of mix, crossbred a recognisable mix of two or three... but I'm another cat person and breeds aren't so much of a thing with us, and, wow, one of the cats that lives with me is staring so hard at me his eyes are twitching from side to side. I am totally distracted now. -- Sine 00:22, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm still for merging this into Category:Dog characters, because mutt is a vague term. Objections? -- Sine 20:19, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I've heard the term "mutt" used for mixes of other than dogs. If this applies to any of the current entries in the catgory then they will need to be recategorized appropriately. (That's just something to manage when it's merged, not an objection to merging; if anything, it's all the more reason not to keep the category.) --mwalimu 21:11, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
