The character Calydor was first created long before his player^[who?] ventured into the furry world.^{[citation needed]} He's traditionally a unicorn stallion, based off a Friesian horse with thick feathering, mane and tail, though he may choose to disguise himself as just an ordinary horse.

The name was taken from the Firebringer trilogy, by Meredith Ann Pierce, though the Calydor there has little resemblance to who Calydor the character has turned out to be. He is very much a personal furry, as the list below will show.
