Califur 2 was held May 5-7, 2006 by FENEC Adventures at The Holiday Inn in Costa Mesa, California. Its theme was Furry Pirates.

There were some minor staffing changes since the previous year, with Zsanene "TigerEyes" Stevens being selected by the FENEC board to succeed original Califur founder Robert "Alohawolf" Johnson Jr. as the new convention chairperson. The final attendance was reported[citation needed] as 434.
