Cupid the Deer, also known as Matty Weasel, formerly known as Bluetooth Husky (real name Matthew John Grabowsky, born June 18, 1991),[1] is a fursuiter who lived in Seattle, Washington, USA.[2]

Controversy[edit]

Cruelty to animals[edit]

In November 2017, Grabowsky was charged with a single count of felony animal cruelty in the first degree.[3] The initial complaint alleges Grabowsky sexually abused animals, including buying animals off classifieds in order to engage in bestiality.[4] According to the indictment, Grabowsky recorded a video sexually abusing NachoDoggo's service dog, which had been posted on the Internet and had been sent to her. When the owner of the dog confronted Grabowsky and the accomplice, Noodlescoop, 24, they threatened "to kill her", according to the "victim's" incident report.[5]

On April 04, 2019, Grabowsky accepted a plea bargain downgrading the charge to a misdemeanor of Attempted Animal Cruelty in the First Degree (§16.52.205).[6]

Based on the plea agreement the following conditions were set:

  • Unsupervised probation
  • Restitution of $23,293.00 for boarding of animals
  • $500 restitution to the victim's fund
  • Order having no contact with dogs for 24 months

Child pornography[edit]

On June 29, 2021, Grabowsky filed an anti-harassment petition against Naia Okami, a notable furry and counter-trafficking investigator with Operation Wolf Eyes, after she released court and police records about Grabowsky's misdemeanor conviction on Twitter and in an email to Grabowsky's former employer.[7] Grabowsky made many false claims in this petition, including that Okami photographed the outside of his residence over a year before Okami entered the state of Washington.[8]

On August 31, 2021, charges were filed against Grabowsky for one count child pornography in federal court through the Western District of Washington.[9]

On September 13, 2021, Okami's attorney sent Grabowsky a request to voluntarily dismiss the anti-harassment petition with prejudice, stating intent to introduce the previously filed federal child pornography charges into evidence for the matter, as well as the intention to collect attorney's fees. Grabowsky voluntarily withdrew his petition as a result.[10]

On September 14, 2021, Mr. Grabowsky pled guilty to charges of Possession of Child Pornography. [11] He has been released on bond with restrictions. [12]

On May 6, 2022, Mr. Grabowsky was sentenced to 5 years in prison, followed by 7 years of supervision.[13]
