Alastair (born October 21, 1984) is a gay Black-and-Tan German Shepherd fursuiter living in the northern part of the San Francisco Bay Area (about halfway between San Francisco and the state capital of Sacramento). He has lived in the Bay Area from the late 90's to the early 00's before moving to New Jersey; now living back in the Bay Area as of June 2007.
He is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and attended the San Francisco Police Academy and the Napa Valley Police Academy, having graduated the latter in 2009 and is building a career in law enforcement. His first con was Further Confusion 2010 he received his first fursuit from One Fur All Studios in October 2011.
His name "Alastair" is a pun on the name "Alsatian" which is the international name for the German Shepherd Dog. The name Alastair also means "protector" based on it's Greek and Gaelic origin, and in keeping with his career choice of police officer.
His fursona is a toned, muscular, and healthy gay male Black-and-Tan German Shepherd Dog with hazel eyes. Though technically a Black-and-Tan GSD, his fur is actually brown and tan, with dark brown fur from the back of his ears down the back of his head and back to his elbows and thighs and around his muzzle; the rest of his fur is a light honey tan hue. He also has a tuft of wavy fur on his head between his ears. His profession is a San Francisco police officer.
