Ace (novel)

Ace is a book by Dick King-Smith. The title refers to a pig, a mongrel of various breeds, who Farmer Tubbs names Ace of Clubs. Ace is the great-grandson of the main character of The Sheep-Pig, and is remarkable in his own right: he can understand English.
Ace was first published in 1990, by Victor Gollancz Ltd, with illustrations by Liz Graham-Yooll. It was published as a Puffin Book in 1991 (with the ISBN 0140344810) and has a color cover illustration by Mary Rayner.[1]
