.fur
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
.fur was a top-level domain (TLD) that was created in November 2003 by Dennis Carr, and was maintained on OpenNIC for the purpose of giving furry fans at large their own unique identity on the internet.
As of March 2006, there were twenty five domains registered under the .fur TLD.
In the summer of 2007, Dennis had removed himself from the OpenNIC project; with this, the top level domain was decommissioned by Dennis.
In June 2008, dotFUR was recommissioned and managed from the UK for OpenNIC users again.
As of July 2009, dotFUR was decommissioned again, as the UK owner of the service has left the OpenNIC project team, but was picked up by a new owner from Germany, which can be accessed at either nic.fur or Fellig.org.
